The morning is often the harshest part of the day. Loud noises break the peaceful silence, bright lights fall on eyes that have not seen light in hours, and the body rushes into action. I have found that easing into your routine sets the tone for a much better day. I have recently changed some habits that I would like to share:

1. Don't wake up to the standard loud & harsh 'beep' - instead, choose a mellow tone that will still wake but not startle.
2. Use candle light for the first few minutes. Your eyes are not prepared for harsh brightness after so many hours of darkness.
3. Give your car a minute before driving. Its better for the engine and lets you make sure you aren't forgetting your wallet or ID.

Any other ideas or good habits out there?
